Professor Taylor in Brief

Kit Sims Taylor has been teaching economics at Bellevue Community College -- Bellevue, Washington -- since 1978. His pre-BCC life included a Peace Corps stint in Northeastern Brazil, about 6 years on the staff of a labor union in the Bay Area, and more years in graduate schools than he would like to admit.

Although his earlier major field of interest was the economics of underdevelopment, his present research interest is the economics of information and networks and other aspects of the New Economy. From 1996 to the present, he has been adapting economics courses to an online environment.

Mr. Taylor lives near the ferry dock in Kingston, Washington, with his wife, Colleen Hogan-Taylor, and their two cats, Pogo and Zorro.
